Do I need a national parks pass?

Often yes. The seller depends on the park. This page is orientation — not a price list and not a substitute for the official shop.

You often need a national parks pass in Australia, but there is no single national ticket. Parks Australia sells Uluru–Kata Tjuta and Kakadu. State and territory parks services sell Cradle Mountain, Freycinet, K’gari, many NSW and Victorian parks, and most others.

Definition

Parks pass. A time-limited entry or vehicle permit sold by the agency that manages that park. Holiday park camping fees are usually separate.

Verify before you travel. Hours, park passes, cultural site rules, and weather closures change. This is an independent editorial guide — not a booking engine, not an official tourism board, and not a ranking of operators.

Questions

What travellers always ask
